Sometimes I use Mplayer OSX Extended to play back .mkv files that play back jerky with VLC. The problem is that I can't get AC3 or DTS to work with Mplayer. I have gone into the prefs and enabled the pass-through for AC3 and DTS but I get no sound. I have no problem with VLC or XMBC. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve
