Can't get Airdrop to work

I have a late 2011 MacBook pro that I can't get airdrop to work! I have attached a screenshot of what my airdrop looks like. I don't have the option at the bottom to select who to receive files from! What the hell is going on?! HELP!!

- What is the version of macOS you're using?
