I enabled text-to-speech on my iPad 2, which removed gesture navigation. I was warned this would happen and like a dope I assumed there would be some obvious alternative way to navigate. There is not. It has to be there but I can't see or find it. What's worse, since i can't scroll using gestures, I can't get to the General/Accessibility/Voice over (I think that's the one) settings to turn the text-to-speech OFF.
This would be funny if it weren't so frustrating and crippling. I can't do ANYTHING.
Update: Got it. I bumbled my way through, enabled triple-click home button to turn text-to-speech on and off. That's under General/Accessibility in case anyone else has had this problem. I also found a tutorial that explained how to navigate with two figure swipes while in text-to-speech.
