can't get info back onto phone

I updated my phone today, 3GS. I still have all my music, apps, etc. in iTunes but can't get it to sync back onto my phone. I did choose the backup to iCloud option. I'm not very good with this technology so please explain simply. Thanks

Plug in your phone and click on it in iTunes, then under the summary tab you can click restore from backup. Pick the most recent option, it should have backed up automatically before updating, so it should be recent.

I plugged it in, clicked iTunes but don't know where the summary tab is.
My apps are back but none of my music and also one of the movies is missing, and all my books. They are there on iTunes but don't know how to get them on my phone.Thanks again
