I installed some sort of siri for ios 5.1.1 on my ipad 2, now it's stuck at the apple logo. I tried accessing safe mode while holding the volume up key as soon as the apple logo came up but it's still stuck. I have been holding it for over 3 minutes.

That would work on an android device... Try DFU mode. Your device must be plugged into a computer for this to work. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. Without letting go, press the home button and hold both for 10 seconds. Then let go of the power button but continue to hold the home button for 7 seconds. If done right the screen should be black. Open iTunes and it will tell you that it recognizes a device in recovery. Restore your iPad and you are good.

Stop giving out wrong information if you have no idea what you are talking about. Pressing the volume up button during a restart will disable apps and tweaks which rely on Mobile Substrate. Not sure about Andriod though but don't give advise if you don't know.

OP: If holding the volume up isn't working then all i can say is to put it in DFU mode and restore. It shouldn't be too bad because Apple is still signing 5.1.1.

Isnt holding the volume up button a way to bypass mobilesubstrate?

It works on idevices, part of the new mobile substrate.

Hold volume up than push power, it will startup in safe-mode.
