My 2008 13" MacBook recently had a hard drive failure and new drive was put in and all my data was recovered. I had been on OS X 10.5.8 and am now on 10.6.8. I was unable to open iPhoto to begin with, but I can now but my photos are not there.
I tried copying and pasting my photos from a back up on my external hard drive and iPhoto asked me if I wanted to replace the original iPhoto Library and I said yes but my photos are still not appearing.
If I right click on the iPhoto Library I can see a file called Data with all the photos in there.
Please can someone advise a step by step process to get my photos from Data into iPhoto and keep my events / albums etc?
