I just installed Yosemite on an external drive to test out. installation worked without an issue, but during the OS set up screen, the bluetooth mouse is recognized just fine but the keyboard isnt. now i cant begin the setup process because of it. keyboard and mouse both work fine on my main Mavericks partition. anyone have any idea? the keyboard just flashes in pairing mode and wont be recognized. its a mid 2007 imac btw.

also, i installed it to my external by means of mounting the install file in mavericks and selecting my external as a target disk. once installed, even with the external unplugged, it keeps trying to go into setup or OS X install mode. is that because its still trying to read the mounted install file? the computer wont even give me boot/startup options except for OSX installer or recovery. wont even let me choose my main internal hard driver where mavericks is. only way to get back to mavericks is to go into the installer mode and select the mac HD as the startup disk. am i doing the install wrong??
