So... I got this touch today from another user on MR. I can't get it to be recognized! My Powerbook G4 will recognize, hell, even my Gateway running Vista will recognize it, but when I plug it up to my macbook, the Touch makes a noise, then just sits there and nothing more. I did a full restore via recovery mode on my Powerbook and I still can't get the darn thing to recognize.

Any suggestions?

It's non jailbroken, running 1.1.4. Macbook using latest update of iTunes.

+Also tried using a different iPod cable and the Touch shows that it is charging...

UPDATE:

Got the Macbook to recognize the iPod by taking it into Restore mode. When I chose to restore it did a "preparing the ipod" for a while, then I got "The iPod "iPod" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1604)."

The iPod is VERY new, it came standard with January update, etc.
