Can't get my iMac's built-in mic to work with Propellerhead Record

I have the demo version of Propellerhead's Record DAW software, and I can't get my iMac's built-in mic to work with it. It works fine in GarageBand and Logic, but not Record. I can click "record" and the app will start recording, but it doesn't pick up anything. The only limitation in the demo version of the software is that it can't open saves files.
