Okay. So for a while I had Windows running under VMWARE fusion on my computer. After I stopped needing it I deleted VMWARE but the partition and hardrive space still remained. I backed up my computer fully on my external harddrive, then erased the Macintosh HD drive with disk utility. After doing this I booted from the OSX cds, thinking id reinstall OSX now, but it wont let me. It says something like "OSX cannot be installed on this computer". Help anyone? Is there something I can do with disk utility to fix this, was i not supposed to erase the Macintosh HD?

Would pressing "Erase Free Space" in disk utility help maybe?
