Can't get old emails back in entourage what can I do

I can't get my old emails back after I reintalled Microsoft Office 2008. I use time machine backups and I want to know how I can get them back, I have gone into microsoft user data and found the entourage database but from there how do I get the database into entourage.

I have gone into entourage and then clicked on file/import, clicked on the database, but the database icon is faded.

Help please what can I do???
