Last week we had a looong power failure. As soon as power went out I shut down the two computers we have on UPS. Once power came back I started using one computer, the other I haven't tried to start until today and no go.

I first tried starting it from the monitor (as usual) and nothing. When I press the power button on the front (QuickSilver G4 Dual 800) it lights up but nothing happens and it fades out when I release the button. I have reset the UPS and also plugged the computer directly into the wall to no avail.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Yeah, I was hoping to try something different as I hate having to unplug 2 monitors, speakers, Ethernet and FW from behind a desk where I can't see the back of the computer and reach it at the same time. It's just a pain.

Anyway, I did reset the PMU and now everything is working fine.

Thanks for responding :)
