cant get remote app to work

I just downloaded 'remote' app and cant get it to work. I open the app and it asks to add a library. Then my phone shows up as a device on the sidebar of iTunes. I enter the passcode, but iTunes never moves past "verifying remote passcode"

Any ideas?
