Can't get rid of Ace Player app.

I remember downloading this app and deleting it a while later.
Now, the app is not on my ipad, not in my itunes library and a spotlight search reveals no such file in my mac or other external discs.
However, ass soon as I connect my ipad to my mac, it appears in the file sharing list ONLY. Nowhere else.
I can add a movie file via itunes and it is nowhere on my ipad.
I have a ghost app. Can anybody give a hand to this annoying problem?
