Hi - I have a Badoo sign-in panel that appears every time I start up my MacBook Pro but I cannot get rid of it. Every time I try to send it to trash it says it cannot be moved because it is 'open'.
It exists only a desktop and is not in my applications folder.
Sorry if this is elementary but I'm a newbie and dont know what to do.

Thanks

Solution.

----------

Launch Activity Monitor and change "My Processes" at the top to "All Processes", then find the app and Quit it.

The most effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:

.

Got another one for you! A text item .DS_Store appears on my desktop and re-appears instantly if I move it to trash. It does not appear in a search at all.

- I did download TinkerTool on advice from another forum to help the original problem you fixed, could it be something to do with that?

.DS_Store files are usually hidden. To hide hidden files in Finder, enter the following two commands into a Terminal window (press enter after each line):
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder

Probably, but you don't need TinkerTool. Use the link I posted to delete it.
