Please help!

Since I've installed OS 10.2.8, my PowerBook G3 has never run better -- with one exception: I can't install software.

After I successfully enter my admin password and agree to the license agreement, the software install "begins" but never goes anywhere. The dialogue window indicates the number of files to be installed, but never installs them: All I see is the rotating multi-colored beachball.

I started the install for Quicken last night before I went to bed. When I got up 6 hours later, not a single file had been installed and the little ball was just spinning away. BTW -- It's happened with other applications as well.

The only thing I have been able to install is the printer software for my new Canon i950. (Great printer by the way!)

Can anyone help? Please?

Thanks!
