Anybody gotten stuck at this screen?

HELP! Apple has NO idea what to do.

AT&T rep still has no idea what to do... phone just sits at "connect to itunes" screen. What am I missing here?
 
Did you try unplugging the USB and plugging it back in?

Like fifty times. She (AT&T rep) had me swap SIM cards, unplug/replug phone, try to active old phone, etc...

Nothing has moved past this screen. Is it possibly something wrong with iTunes?
 
Another thread on this forum talks about how to activate instantly by calling AT&T and giving them you SIM information and they can just activate it for you.
 
If you're on a PC, there has been activation issues with 3.0 itself, so I wonder if this might be related, but its something to try anyways. Otherwise try keeping to plug/unplugging, I guess.

If you're running Internet Explorer 8:
Go to Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> and disable "Check for server certificate revocation"

Then restart iTunes and IE8.
