Can’t get walkie talkie to work.

Wife and I are new to owning Apple watches. Tried the walkie talkie feature but it says “brandy is unavailable to chat, they new an Apple Watch” or whatever. We both have one. I checked in the watch app under walkie talkie and I show up as an available contact but in my app she is not available. Any pointers on why this is not working? I checked in the FaceTime settings and her email for Apple ID is different than the two emails listed in the “you can be reached at” Could this be it?

Nevermind. Got it to work. Had to change her email and phone in my contacts to be iPhone and iCloud instead of “mobile” and “home” and that fixed the problem.
