I have a midi keyboard (M-audio keystudio 49i) and can get around in garageband ok, but I'm completely lost in logic express.
I can't figure out how to hear it.
I can see that it's sending sound to the software by seeing the audio levels fluctuate and the bar at the bottom telling me what note is being played, and it even leaves some notes on the timeline when I record a bit of playing, but I can't figure out how to listen to it during playing or after recording.
I think that I just stumbled on how to get it this far because I don't know anything about the settings.
The help files are not helpful, and the little booklet that came with it is equally impossible to find answers in.
Can anyone please advise on how to set the options to hear the audio, and whether there are any better instructions for logic express that I might read?
I never loaded any drivers or software for the keyboard when using garageband, but would I need to do so for using it with logic express?
Thanks.
