can't hear audio in Safari and Firefox??

I just got a new POWERBOOK G4 and when I go to a music site using SAFARI or FIREFOX the player in the HP doesn't work?? It works fine with my iMac G5?? I repaired permissions and everything, still doesnt work.

Maybe try resetting core audio by opening and then closing Garageband.

It's a bug I think, I hope it gets fixed in 10.4.4 because I've heard about it a lot around here.

If you don't own a copy of Garage Band (or you are too lazy to open it), you can also open "Audio MIDI Setup" (in the "Utilities" folder) and set the Audio Output Format back to 44100.0 Hz.

thanks! For some reason my Audio Ouput got changed, when I changed it back to 44100.0 it worked fine!!!

It's the strangest bug. Thankfully, it's easy to fix.
