Can't hook up my MBP to my TV!

I have a JVC LT-37E70BU TV, and want to connect my MBP to it. I tried using a MDP to HDMI, and then a MDP to DVI. Couldn't get any of them to work. My mac doesn't recognize any of the connections. Help!

How about HDMI to HDMI?
