Can't import FLV files to imovie

I used to always be able to no matter what version of imovie i was on. I accidently deleted Imovie so I now finally got Imovie HD back, version 5, but when I try to import flv files it says

"Error during Import

The file could not be importted: Unknown Error"

I tried individually importing about 7 different flv files, and for some reason, one of them actually did import. Would they all import with a newer Imovie, and how do I get that?

Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
