I'm trying to import video from a canon HV20 camera. I've tried both the firewire and the usb cable. iMovie and my MB can't see it. Any suggestions?

I'm also having problems with the SW disk "Can write to this disk" error... I've got admin access. I've unlocked my hard drive...

Thanks

That's strange, have same camera, hooks up Ok to all my Macs. You are going to have to explain all the steps you are doing no matter how small they may seem, in order for people here to help you. Because, probably your not setting your camera to the correct setting (slide to tape use firewire, slide to sd card use USB) or iMovie is not set up correctly (ie: Hdv 1080i for the older iMovie, the latest not sure.)

Canon

The USB is for PIX transfers only....You have to put the camera on "Play" with the Firewire...(Although Imovie does the import without having to do that)

Having the same problem with Canon HV10

Neither the iMac G5, nor the recently bought Mac Pro recognizes my Canon HV10. What's the correct camera configuration to revert this situation?
