Hey,

I am trying to import a Mail library to my Macbook Air. The folder's format is XXX.imapmbox, and has the following subfolders inside: Attachments, Messages and an info.plist file.

I have tried the following ways to import it in the Mail app:

- Import Apple Mail and selecting the XXX.imapmbox folder. Error message: "No valid Apple Mail files were found."

- Import Files in mbox format: Error message: "No valid mbox files were found."

I am desperate since I have so much important information in this folder..please help!!

Thanks.

If its IMAP, why not just connect to the mail server again with IMAP. It will re-sync everything. Why are you even trying to import the data files?

Cause i dont have this account anymore...long story.

You could try importing them into Thunderbird then moving them to Mail.app from there.

Mail wants you to select the folder that contains the mailboxes to be imported (i.e. the folder where the .mbox folders to be imported reside), not the .mbox folders themselves. Try selecting the folder one or perhaps two levels higher up.

Select: ~/Library/Mail
Not: ~/Library/Mail/.../XXX.imapmbox
