Hey Everyone,

I am having trouble downloading the 10.4.9 update. Going through Software Update, after downloading it told me I couldn't install because the file may have been corrupting after having been signed by Apple.

So, I tried downloading it directly from Apple.com, but after downloading the dmg file, I couldn't install due to an invalid checksum.

Anyone else having these problems, or know what I can do?

Thanks in advance.

-DCBass

my apologies if this has been discussed before, I didn't see it in other threads.

Same exact problem

Hello, I'm having the same exact problem. Have you resolved it?
Thanks.

I've never heard of this either. I don't know if this will help, but give it a shot.

-Down load the full, combo 10.4.9 installer, if you have not done so. It's large, 163 megabytes for the PPC version.

-Save all work. Restart the Mac to refresh everything.

-Do a permissions repair. It's not a magic bullet, but it couldn't hurt.

-run the combo installer. The Mac should restart twice, don't be alarmed at this.

Once it's done, do another permissions repair. This all sounds like a lot, but it really isn't.

of course, backups should be done on a regular basis, to save all your stuff.
