I have this problem - I have been trying to install AdBlock from the Safari Extensions Gallery and no matter what I do, it doesn't install. I have tried restarting, connecting from different places, disabling other extensions, nothing at all works (all of my software is up to date). It says "An issue occured while trying to install this extension. Please try again later." I have had this issue for weeks now. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Clear the website histories (Safari -> Clear History and website data) and quite the Safari. Now open the Safari while click and hold Option key. Try to install it now.

Thanks so much, it worked! Having lost my browsing history, website logins, etc. is slightly inconvenient but it's not the end of the world.
