So, on Thursday, I had the wonderful experience of shattering my 5S screen when my phone fell out of my pocket onto concrete. (My first broken iPhone and I've owned all since the 3Gs, so I guess I was due). Anyway, paid the OOW repair fee and got a new (refurb) 5S from Apple on Friday. I restored my backup and rejailbroke on 7.1.2.

Anyway, I can't get Apple File Conduit 2 to install. I had no issues with my old 5S, but this one hangs about 15% into "Preparing Apple File Conduit '2'". (Tried multiple times on multiple days)

Any ideas?

First thing that comes to mind is to re-jailbreak - but jailbreak first (on a factory fresh iOS), install AFC2 and then restore your backup.
