It fails at the disk partition. My drive is journaled as this was something I see needs enabling.

I'm on the latest osx.

I already have VMware Fusion 6 installed.

Could this be affecting it as I run Windows 7 in that but I also want bootcamp so if I need I can boot up in Windows as I understand that way it uses machines resources better and runs faster.

I have tried disk repairs etc but I have no idea.

Help please.

Just a bit more info. I just tried to create a partition using Disk Utility but this failed saying it failed to verify something. But I done the verify disk etc?

If you want to run Windows 7 from Boot Camp, you must use the Boot Camp Assistant to create the Windows partition for you.

You cannot create a Boot Camp partition out of a virtual machine VMDK.

You can only do this way if you want to have Boot Camp and also be able to access the BC partition from VMware:
1. Use BC Assistant to partition the drive.
2. Install Windows in the BC partition.
3. Use VMware and boot from the BC partition if you don't need full resources.

This is the trouble I am having, I can not partition the drive using Bootcamp assistant.

I have tried to partition the drive using the utility and it will not partition so I think there is something going on with my SSD

I would suggest returning the drive to one main partition for OSX then reboot then run repair disk then reboot again.
Once that's done I would try Bootcamp Assistant again.

Have tried many things recently but nothing appears to be working.

I might have to go see a genius?
