I go to the updates section in the Mac App Store, and it's basically not letting me update. I look at my purchases and it says to 'install.' Although I click it, it says that its already installed and that I should go click software update. I did that, and it says all my applications are already up to date -.-

I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. I purchased FCPX on launch date too. On the Mac App Store. lol

Are you trying to update in on you iMac or Macbook? There have been some post saying that people that bought FCP, can't update cause of the hardware and graphics card. This should only affect your Macbook.

Your iMac should be able to update no problem.

Yes, I'm updating it with my iMac. That's weird..

Here's the trick

I had the same problem. I called Apple. The trick is to first delete the 10.0 version. The it will let you install the 10.0.1 version from the app store.
