i already try install with 10.4, 10.5, 10.6. but the same error come in :(

here is my spec:
  1. model name: MacBook Pro
  2. model Indentifier: MacBook Pro4,1
  3. processor name: intel core 2 duo
  4. processor speed: 2.4 GHz

can someone help me.. Thanks

i lost my original disc. btw i use my friend retail disc.

do u have any suggestion on this?

That message tends to come up if you use a disc that came with another computer, so it might not be a retail disc you're trying with after all.

oh really:confused: erm.. :(
do u know where can i get the original disc? should i ask apple centre for that?

The cheapest option is to buy Snow Leopard, then of course is contacting apple for a replacement of system disks. They may or may not charge you a small fee.

You also can check out ebay and other online options.

i have iso file for retail macos. it stored in my external hardisk. i try to burn into dvd. it fine well. but when i open it, there is nothing inside the disc.

is there anyway that i can booth from my external usb hardisk for installation, which mean using that iso file. the file around 2 GB btw
