I replaced the HDD with an SSD;
I added some more Ram at it.
When I am installing the OS, the progress bar hangs and cannot finish the installation.
I've already tried to replace the disk cable (with this one). It won't work neither.
What more can I try?

Correction: is it a 13 inch, mid 2010

What version of MacOS are you attempting to install? Are you using a DVD or a USB flash drive to install?

I am trying to install Sierra from an USB drive.

I am trying to install again with original RAM. It is stuck with 12 minutes remaining.. 0C7C92B0-FE4C-43DC-934E-02761693BA95.jpeg

Does it lock up on you, or can you still move the cursor around? Good idea on going back to your original RAM. You might also want to try loading disk utility and reformatting the SSD. For some reason, it takes Disk Utility a couple tries to get it right sometimes.
