Hello everyone. I just bought a MacBook (Brand new to OS X) and I tried installing an update entitled "Mac OS X Update". When the update finished downloading I got an error saying "The update can't be saved. You do not have appropriate access privileges." What can I do? I think I am getting this because I deleted the account that was created for me when I first used the laptop and made a new admin account.

Please help!

100% Positive. When I go to Accounts from System Preferences, it says "Admin" right under my name.

Edit.

When I downloaded the update from Apple.com it seems to be working.
