I'm trying to clean install Win7 & on my iMac. I did it a while back with XP no problem. I think my problem is that I don't know just how to utilize the Boot Camp 3.1 utility. At first I thought it was a mac program but if I'm correct it is actually a program that is run from windows. I have downloaded the boot camp 3.1 from the Apple site. So here is what I have done .... where am I going wrong.

1- start bootcamp assistant
2- partition harddrive
3- format bootcamp side for windows
4- start windows installation
5- watch as it installs
(here is where it falls apart)
6- watch as it goes into this unending reboot loop :(

At what point and how do the boot camp 3.1 drivers come into play?

What am I doing wrong. Please type slowly as I'm a slow learner sometimes.

You should install the Boot Camp drivers after Windows has got to the desktop as you would any other install, if it is going into a never ending reboot cycle i would guess there is something wrong with Windows and maybe try re-install it

Can't Get To Windows

I've reinstalled several times but can't get past this memory dump-black screen
-loading windows loop

Others have had this problem also.

What exactly does the boot camp program do?
