I am using redsn0w with the 6.0 firmware manually chosen. when i try to jailbreak, it gives me one of three outcomes. It either says I'm missing Keys.plist for the firmware, the exploit failed, waiting for the reboot that never happens, or jailbreaks it tethered and then when i boot it again, it tells me I'm missing Keys again. I last jailbroke at 5.1.1 so I have no idea of which programs I should be using now. I just wiped everything off my iPod so I am determined to jailbreak it now.

When it waits for the reboot the screen turns on but it's blank and it just stays that way.

If you follow this tutorial, it should actually work, I have done it several times:

http://www.iphonehacks.com/2014/03/jailbreak-ios-6-1-6-redsn0w-p0sixspwn.html

Also, I think there is now a standalone p0sixspwn tool for untethered jailbreak for 6.1.6., no need for redsnow anymore....

I am using that guide, and i get stuck at step 20. After waiting for the reboot, my screen comes on but is blank. Then it tells me i am missing Keys.plist for the build, however i selected the 6.0 IPSW which is supposed to be the solution to that problem, so I have no idea why it still happens. I am watching video tutorials and this problem doesn't happen to them. I am doing exactly what they are doing in the videos and it still gives me this error.

I just tried the whole thing over, and now I am getting to the same point, but this time it just waits for the reboot and nothing happens. I don't know what's wrong now. I can't even fetch blobs.

6.1.6 is the latest IOS for iPod, so you don't need blobs, or any kind of custom IPSW. Have you tried to find that stand alone version?
