Can't Listen to Audio Messages On The Watch

So I can send audio messages and see those embedded in my Messages app on the watch, but when my friend sends me one, I get this:

I saw this once today, but my friends and i have been sending each other audio messages back and forth through our new Watches and of maybe 30 times I only saw it once. Very odd.

Haha, yeah it's a rare occurrence but figured it was odd to be able to send them but not receive them.

Not sure. I sent my friend a longer one and then listened to it on Watch. Watch turned it's screen off after a few seconds and I wasn't able to listen to the full message, which might be an issue if it happens with incoming messages too

Guess that VIEWING a SOUND may not work very well...
