Can't log in ichat

Hello. when i try to log into my aim account using ichat, a message appears saying that the host refused the connection.
What should i do?

It sounds to me like AIM is experiencing a problem, not necessarily your iChat itself. When was the last time you were able to connect, and has anything changed in iChat since then?

i never used ichat before. i got my macbook 3 days age!

Alrighty, so you've never gotten it to work.

So, what are your configuration settings in iChat? I believe that AIM has a guide on how to use other chat clients.
