I have an old iPod touch 4g that I want to use for running so I don't have to try and fit my massive phone in the tiny leggings/shorts pockets. All I need it to run is google play music, however when I open the app I can't select the field to input my email address to log in - the keyboard doesn't pop up. I tried "forgot email" and "sign up" and in these options I still can't select the field, but I can press "next" and it will prompt me to fill in the missing field and open the keyboard for me. When I try this on the first screen to log in, the screen moves like it is trying to open the keyboard, but nothing happens.

My ipod touch 4g is running 6.1.6 - I downloaded the google play music app through itunes and then installed it on my device to prompt it to install an older compatible version.
I tried wiping and reseting the device.
I tried installing a different keyboard.
I tried logging into google through safari first.
I tried installing google chrome to log in but there isn't a version old enough for my device.
I tried accessing it through the google play music website in safari.
I jailbroke the device in case that might somehow help.
I tried throwing the ipod across the room.
Nothing has worked, someone please help!

A quick search shows that Google Play requires iOS 8.2 and above.

Thanks but you'll notice I said "I downloaded the google play music app through itunes and then installed it on my device to prompt it to install an older compatible version."
The version I have is old but compatible with iOS 6.1.6

Nonetheless, I solved it, I'll post it in case someone else needs the same fix!
1. Install user agent faker through cydia.
2. Set agent to safari and make sure play music is toggled on in faker settings.
2. Open play music and when the page has loaded and the email field is highlighted blue, press and hold on it (just tapping won't work). Keyboard will open and you can log in!
