I have an older macbook pro 2010 running 10.6.8

Yesterday I took my laptop to school and it wouldn't connect to my school wifi and I know my school's wifi is crap so didn't think anything of it. Came home and it wouldn't connect to my apartment wifi. I tried putting in my password and I keep getting a "invalid password". Thinking I might have not remembered my password I forgot the network on my iphone 6, my ipad, and my roommates air and typed in the password and it worked so I have the right password. But for some reason airport or my computer isn't accepting it and saying it's invalid.

I'm not a computer genius by any chance so if you guys need more information let me know PLEASE trying to figure this out ASAP.

Other things that might not be relevant that I have noticed:
1) Under network diagnostics airport is green, but everything including airport settings has failed
2) When I go to system preferences and network Airport light is yellow, when I try connecting to my wifi and I type in the password it goes to red.

Thank you macrumor
