Where bunnies are welcome.
Recently I tried to access my admin account on my MBP after not having access to my MBP after a long illness. My son had used my MBP for awhile after his computer died during this time, but he said he never messed with any of my files and even used Firefox to keep from using Safari or Google. Basically, I couldn't update any apps or install anything, since it wouldn't recognize my password. Somehow my password got changed?!

Any ideas on how this could have happened?? I had to finally boot into terminal and reset my password there. My son doesn't know how to use Mac's, so I doubt he somehow changed my password or even if he had a reason to do that, since all he was using the MBP for was to read forums.

As long as you got it reset, I wouldn't worry about it.

If it's your MacBook, I'd be logging in and using it in your "administrator account" anyway.

I've done this since I first moved to OS X in 2004, never had problems that way.
