Can't login to Linksys router setup from iPhone

I'm trying to log into the HTML based setup tools on my a linksys wireless router from my iPhone 3G (running 2.1). When navigating to the default router address (192.168.1.1) in Safari on iPhone I am not able to get passed the login page (I am sure I am entering the right password).

Has anyone else run into this problem and/or found a solution?

There is a setting in the linksys router that forbids wireless configuration.
Log into the router wired and change that setting.

I'm like the OP and to lazy to search the linksys site for the exact setting.
