This an extremely "OCD" thing, but it sort of bugs me that even if I move an app window as far up as possible, I can still see a tiny sliver of the desktop wallpaper showing through between the top of the window and the menu bar:

Was it like this in Monterey too? If it was, I don't remember it for some reason. I know that the window corners are rounded, so it will show through there, but imo it shouldn't be showing at the top.

It was the same in Monterey. You don’t remember it because every new version of Mac OS has more and more bugs, they accumulate and poison other things too, so it starts to be annoying. File system organization changed so much in Ventura and started to look like a total mess.

I noticed it in Monterey, can't remember if it did that in Big Sur as well. It bugs me as well. Obviously it's no big deal at all, but it's highly annoying once you see it – you just can't un-see it.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation that this isn't new. I dislike the window and dock transparency they've used for a while too, but that's easily corrected in System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Transparency. But I can appreciate that was a purposeful design decision. What I'm describing in this thread, though, sure seems like a strange design decision.
