Can't move icon from folder

Hi there,
My friend has a wierd situation with his iPhone...somehow he moved his clock app from the status bar into a empty folder. When you press and hold the folder and open it the clock icon doesn't shake and it's more shaded (transparent) and you can't grab or hold it to move it out of the folder.
Any suggestions?
