Cant Move Rented Movie from iTunes to iPad

Running current versions of El Capitan and IOS on new iPad.
Rented movie on iTunes on my computer. it appears on the computer.
But when I connect my iPad, and click "movies", the rented movie does not appear as an option to transfer to the iPad. Can't find any help on Apple.

Any ideas?

(my internet connection is very slow, so I don't want to download the movie to the iPad.)
