can't move window - stuck behind menu bar

i'm using an app that lets me open a workspace window for some things.
when it opens this window, though, the top of the window, where i would
normally grab it to move it to a location i'd rather have it, is completely
behind the mac's menu bar, making it impossible to grab. how can i move
this window when i can't get at the top to drag it?

Expose/Spaces is your friend. Use them.

don't quite follow that. using shake. tried hitting f10 as when i
looked at the expose/spaces preference pane it seemed like it
might help but nothing seemed to happen when i had shake
open and tried f10.
