can't network computers

Suddenly, my MacBook Pro and my wife's MacBook can't share files. I have file sharing set on both computers, and I even tried abandoning any firewall settings at all to see if it would help. No suck luck.

It used to work without a problem.

We have an Airport Extreme Base Station.

Any ideas?

Are you using wireless?

If so try turning off the airport on both computers and then turn them back on.
