Can't open folders and files in a external HD

Hy, guys, newbie here.
-Snow Leopard 10.6.8
-After trying to export some audio files with Logic Pro(from an external Lacie HD) directly to a pen-drive...CRASH!
- After restaritng , everything is fine BUT seeing what's in this Lacie HD.
-Can't eject, can't use Disk Utility - says it can't "unmount" the HD.
-So, I presume I must restore this talk between my machine and this external HD, right? But how?
