OK, trying to reinstall itunes 7.7v from itunes 8.0v. I installed to later version (7.7) and now it won't open because, "itunes library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes"! I so regret upgrading! Can anyone help!!??

It won't open the library file due to you having upgraded. Why have you downgraded?

You can either upgrade back to iTunes 8 or you can sort of work around this problem although it will cause you to lose playcounts/playlists.

Open up iTunes while pressing option. Create New Library and then import the song files.

If you decided to later upgrade back to iTunes 8 and want to get your original library back press option when opening iTunes and select the previous library.
