Can't open most preference panes.

I suddenly cannot open most of my preference panes - running 10.13.5 on a MacPro. Any ideas?

Does it happen in another user account, or could you make another user account to try it in? If it does not, go to ~/Library and start deleting relevant plist files and reboot.

I ended up booting from recovery an dreinstally the OS. Works now.
