Hey,
I bought my first mac a day ago, I am almost fine with it, but I can't figure out one thing. I tried to research it, however, I could not find anything. If I open the pictures from desktop, it opens normally from Viewer app, however, when I want to open it from a folder, it just opens the viewer app, not the pic. If I click in he viewer app, it does not show the pic either. I have the latest ventura os, Ive unlocked every permission on the folder, Im admin. Could you help me out?

Probably just one of those bugs since the introduction of Stage Manager. Do the problem persist after a reboot?

For image viewing, I use
qView - “Practical and Minimal Image Viewer”
https://interversehq.com/qview/
https://github.com/jurplel/qView/releases
Once you open an image from a folder, you can use the arrow keys to view the others.

Another similar app
Fragment Image Viewer

qview looks good, however it did not solve the issue, but thanks for the recommendations! It works on desktop, but in the folder it just pops up the blank qview program. Its like programs does not have access to the files in the folder. However, when I drag it in, it works.

You have to give qView permission to access your desktop folder.

If you haven’t seen this dialog or pressed on “Don’t Allow”, open System Settings – Privacy & Security – Files and Folders and give the qView permission.

I gave it permission, still doesnt seems to work. I figured out it works in other folders, but not in this specific folder. I transferred my work files from my pc, downloaded it here, and thats it, did not do anything else with them. They never been password protected or anything.
