This might be a little strange, but I got a new MBP today. M1 Pro, 16GB / 1TB SSD. Nice. Anyway, I went through Migration Assistant to move my files over from the old one, and updated the system to Monterey 12.0.1.

But now, I can't open Word files. I can if I go through Finder, but not through Word itself, where it lists the Recent files. I get an error message saying This Document Is Either Deleted Or Not Currently Available.

Any help on this? Thanks.

The file paths are likely in a slightly different location to your old system which is why the recents in Word is saying they are not available.

You will have to open through Finder or File Open in Word and then the recent list will start working as expected.
